Cigarette Dance

I do the cigarette dance
I sing the cigarette song
And time has come along to say, "slow down child you'll kill your lung"

I shake the speed and coffee shake
I squirm with the speed and coffee like a worm
And time has squiggled in to say, "slow down child or you'll be gone before long"

I follow the fate that fate has paved
I follow to find out what fate has to say
One way or another these things will say what they say

"Slow down child before you're gone before long"

  1. This reminds me of Langston Hughes. I like it a lot, but I also used to be a drug addict, so I'm biased.
